Electricity Cost Calculator
Add multiple appliances and estimate each appliance’s kWh and electricity cost from power, daily runtime, quantity, days and your tariff.
Formula and units
Row kWh = kW × hours/day × quantity × days. Row cost = row kWh × tariff per kWh. Totals are the sums of all rows.
How to use these results
Use your actual tariff per kWh. Currency is a display label only; changing it does not convert rates or exchange currencies. This estimate excludes standing charges, taxes, tiered tariffs and time-of-use pricing. Hours per appliance per day cannot exceed 24.
Verify critical electrical work with a qualified professional and applicable manufacturer instructions.
Worked example
Two 1.5 kW appliances running 2 hours/day for 30 days use 180 kWh. At a tariff of 0.20 per kWh, energy cost is 36.00.
